We went to Kidz Quarterz last night for a celebration for the boys. It was quite a day. We spent almost all morning getting SINS for the boys, and then TRIED to get passports but found out most of our application was wrong...and in particular the pictures. ARG. So we have to go back to McBain to get them redone. ACK. Sears did Jaxon's and it was perfect. So, we might even go there for the other ones.
Then we went out for lunch thanks to Auntie Wendy (such a great gift...THANK YOU!!!) and then to the ski hill to get Tyson's skis fitted, and his pass, as he starts lessons tomorrow (Thank you Gramdma Rie!!!)
Afterwards we finally headed to the party, which was chaos at it's best. The staff was stressed, and in turn half of the parents were. In all fairness they just opened and had no idea they way oversold the tickets.
But all that really mattered was the boys had a blast......
playing games, throwing/blasting balls at each other in the balladium, having sword fights with balloon swords, getting their faces painted, singing karoke and having a countdown from 15 at 7:30 with noise makers and sparkling apple juice!
Tyson liked it so much, he's thinking of doing his birthday there. We'll see!!
On our drive home at about 8 pm there were fireworks being set off in Sherwood Park. I thought we were so lucky to see them. We parked and watched them...hopefully our luck continues that way for 2009!
